Before installing your domain name on FlashDrive, you need to create a ‘CNAME’ record to point to the appropriate FlashDrive cluster. See below:
Replace <datacenter> with the datacenter where your app was created (For instance, <us01>).
We recommend that you use CloudFlare DNS as a DNS service. The CloudFlare free plan is best suited for most websites and applications.
All registrars that offer an alternative DNS service, if you don’t want to use CloudFlare, include:
Once the CNAME record gets created, visit the settings of your app and click “Add Domain” :
A popup will be displayed, asking you for the domain name you want to use :
If the verification fails, and you only recently created the CNAME record, please wait for a couple of hours and then try again. It may take up to 48 hours for all DNS servers to be updated before you can use your domain name.
Once your domain gets added to your application (you can also include subdomains), you can add an SSL certificate for that domain and each subdomain.
If you want to use your root domain name (https://domain.com), we recommend that you add two domain names in your app settings: domain.com and www.domain.com.
